Tangled Roots runs a thriving urban flower farm. We grow our flowers on multiple plots of vacant land throughout Portland’s inner Eastside. We are dedicated to growing varieties specifically sought after for wedding design, focusing on the newest trending colors and romantic heirloom varieties less commonly found in the conventional marketplace.
Our season starts in late Spring with fregrant heirloom garden roses and continues through Summer into late Autumn with our collection of wedding-worthy dahlias. Our selection of varieties and color palette changes each year, as old wedding fads die and new trends emerge.
respect your mother
While we pride ourselves on producing healthy and beautiful blooms, we find it equally important to support the environment and co-exist with nature. We work hard to integrate sustainable growing practices by using organic fertilizers and amendments to enrich the biodiversity of our soil. We also strive to protect our local pollinators and happily work around their schedule whenever necessary.
for the trade
We sell our flowers wholesale directly to local floral designers. If you’re a florist in the Portland area and wish to inquire about purchasing our flowers, please contact us for our most current availability and pricing. You can also find a general list of what’s blooming on our flowers page. If you’re looking for something in particular, but don’t see it, be sure to ask - we grow many varieties in limited quantity that don’t always make the list!
Designers – If there’s a specific color or variety of rose or dahlia you’ve been dying to work with, but haven’t been able to find locally, let us know! If there’s enough time and we’re able to source it, we’d love to try to grow it for you for the following season!
flowers for all
If you’re not a designer, but would love to buy our flowers just because, please contact us for a list of upcoming markets and pop-ups. You can also follow us on Instagram to stay in the loop. We’d love to meet you and share all the pretty things we have to offer!
